Our Cut Flower Garden

at Hill Ends

What do we grow?

We have a good selection of annuals and perennials in a number of different colours, but with a particularly good selection of white as it is such a popular choice for weddings. We have cut flowers available from 1st June- 1st Oct. All the usual cut flowers that you would expect; cosmos, roses, delphiniums, scabious, sunflowers etc.

Are we organic?

We grow everything at Hill Ends using organic principles, but we are not certified organic. No chemicals are used and we are commited to ethical and organic ways of growing. We love our wildlife and believe that all animals have a place on the planet. We never use peat. We either use homemade compost or Dalefoot organic compost, which is certified organic and made in Cumbria, perfect!

Do you do DIY cut flowers for weddings?

Yes! We are absoloutley thrilled for you to be considering using our cut flowers for your wedding. By appointment, you can come and pick all your own wedding flowers, or maybe just your bouquet and buttonhole, that you could pick together with your partner - how romantic! This enables you to really be in control of your day and your floral arrangements. When it comes to wedding flowers more and more brides are chosing DIY, and at £50 per flower bucket it's a thrifty choice!

But I'm not a florist!

Believe it or not it's very achievable, and there are plenty of brides who have already done it. Your your big day is obviously very important and if you have very specific ideas of how you want your flowers to look you might want to think twice about DIY flowers. However, if you are quite a creative person and you are planning a relaxed look then it could be perfect for you.
